Simin Softsys is a small engineering and development practice. We take on research, product development, water park and industrial projects — the kind where somebody has to sit down with the site drawings and do the arithmetic.
Four kinds of work, and we'll tell you which one yours is.
Most enquiries land in one of these. If yours doesn't, say so and we'll tell you plainly whether we're the right people.
Research & development
Feasibility work, prototypes, test rigs and the measurements that back them up. Usually the step that happens before anyone commits a budget — so the output is a number and a recommendation, not a brochure.
Product development
Taking a concept to a design that can actually be manufactured. Detail drawings, bills of material, tolerance and fit, supplier drawings, and a pilot run before you order a thousand of anything.
Water park projects
Slide and pool layouts, circulation and filtration sizing, pump rooms, balance tanks, and the coordination between civil, mechanical and the ride supplier. Also the unglamorous part: turnover rates, backwash and access for maintenance.
Industrial projects
Plant layout, material handling, utilities, retrofits and commissioning. Mostly brownfield work, where the real constraint is the building you already have and the fact that production can't stop for three months.
The order matters, so we don't skip ahead.
Scope
We visit, measure, and read what already exists. You get a written scope and a fixed list of deliverables before any money moves.
Design
Calculations and drawings, plus an animation where a drawing alone won't explain it. Reviewed with you before anything goes to fabrication.
Build
Fabrication, procurement and site supervision. Your project folder updates as it happens, so you don't have to ring us for a status.
Handover
Commissioning, test records, as-built drawings and an O&M file. All of it stays in your folder after we've gone.
Things we don't do.
Your project has a folder. You have the key to it.
Every live project gets a folder you can open yourself — current drawings, progress against milestones, and any animation we've made to explain a part of the work. It's there so you're not waiting on an email for an answer you could just look up.
Current drawings and documents. Superseded revisions stay visible, so you can see what changed and when.
Progress against milestones. The same milestones written into your scope, not a percentage we made up.
Animations and graphics. When a section drawing won't explain a flow or a sequence, we animate it and put it here.
It stays after handover. As-builts, test records and the O&M file remain available.
